Here’s a fun activity you can do with your kids for fairly cheap. A campout at home! I found a used but new tent on ebay, and paid around $15 for it. It’s not huge by any means, more like a pup tent. It’s a two person and measures about waist height. Perfect for little kids to have some fun with.
I set up this tent in our front yard over the weekend and my kids used it the entire time including throughout the week. They brought toys out to play in it, they brought their snacks out to munch on inside the tent, they read books and took naps in it. They did everything they could think of. I even put a portable dvd player in it so when it got dark out they could watch a movie with some homemade popcorn in the tent and not worry about mosquitoes biting them all night. It was like their own private movie theater. They loved it!
My oldest daughter said it was one of the most fun activities we’ve done.
